Site Allocations and Development Policy Document (SADPD)

Cheshire East Council submitted the SADPD for examination on 29 April 2021. The Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government has appointed Planning Inspector Mike Hayden BSc DipTP MRTPI, to carry out an independent examination, to assess whether the plan has been prepared in accordance with legal and procedural requirements and if it is sound. Community Governance Review

Cheshire East are currently conducting a review of town and parish council governance arrangements across the Cheshire East Borough. The proposals for Poynton are an alignment of the boundary between the parish of Poynton and the parish of Adlington to a new boundary following Poynton Brook. This would ensure that two houses on Spenlow Close are brought within the same parish (Poynton) as the rest of their street and local community.
