The Management
and Establishment Committee is responsible for all matters relating to staff
employed by the Town Council, including contracts and the regular monitoring of
workload. It has responsibility for ensuring that all the Council’s policies
and procedures including the Standing Orders, mayoral protocol and organisation
of Civic Sunday are reviewed and updated on a regular basis.
This Committee, on behalf of the Council, has the rewarding task of managing the annual Civic Award Scheme. Inviting and reviewing nominations is one of the highlights of the year. Any member of the public is welcome to nominate an individual or group that they feel deserves recognition for their contribution to our community. The Civic Awards are presented by the Mayor and the Committee has hopes that the ceremony can be resumed later this year.
