An exciting opportunity is available for someone who is keen to support their local community.
The Poynton Area Community Partnership is part of a wider network of partnerships across Cheshire East, and is an independent group made up of like-minded volunteers who understand and represent the interests of Poynton, Adlington, Bollington, Disley, Mottram St Andrew, Prestbury, Kettleshulme, Rainow and Pott Shrigley. Cheshire East Council is also represented.
At their next AGM, PACP are looking for a new Treasurer. The role involves liaising between PACP’s funding committee, and project leaders who have been successful in securing a grant from PACP, and managing the PACP accounts.
PACP works together to make Poynton and the parishes listed above attractive places where people want to visit, live, work and spend their leisure time. PACP’s vision is to make its residents and neighbourhoods better connected, to promote a strong sense of place by supporting civic pride projects, to promote health and wellbeing, and work to reduce social isolation. In the wake of Covid-19, PACP also seeks to address the growing issue of mental health, particularly among young males.
If you are interested in the role, please contact Cllr. Robert Hughes, Chair of Poynton Area Community Partnership on firstname.lastname@example.org
