The
Poynton Neighbourhood Plan was adopted in November 2019 following a referendum
when 88% of people who voted supported the Neighbourhood Plan. The Neighbourhood Plan was prepared in consultation with the local community and
subject to various rounds of consultation prior to the referendum on the 10th
October 2019.
Since being “made” by Cheshire East Council it has become a statutory part of the planning system. Its policies will have to be taken into account when planning applications are considered. The Neighbourhood Plan can be found on the Cheshire East website.
