Her Majesty The Queen, 21st April 1926 – 8th September 2022

Messages of condolence - A book of condolence has been opened at the Civic Hall and can be signed during office hours (Mon – Thurs 9 am-5 pm, Fri 9 am - 4.30 pm, Sat 9 am-12 noon)

Floral Tributes - St George’s Church will receive floral tributes inside the churchyard, against the walls by the lychgate.

Flag - The Union Flag is currently flying at half-mast at the Civic Hall. 

The Principal Proclamation will be read at 11am on Saturday 10th September 2022 in London. Further Proclamations will be read in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland on Sunday 11th September at 12 noon.

In recognition of the new Sovereign, flags will be flown at full-mast from the time of the Principal Proclamation at St James's Palace until one hour after the Proclamations in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales, after which flags will return to half-mast in mourning for the death of Her Majesty The Queen.
