Community News

Over the past month we have received an increase in reports of Cold Calling in the area. If you believe a cold caller to be suspicious please call us on 101. If a Cold Caller is forceful or aggressive please DO NOT allow them in your home and call 999 immediately. Please never exchange money or accept work from a Cold Caller without researching them or finding out if they are a Trusted Trader. If in doubt, keep them out!

We have recently received a number of calls regarding youths breaking into and using the old Vernon Primary School. Please speak to any young person in your family and explain the dangers of playing in an abandoned building. Most abandoned building will contain unsafe floors, roofs, broken glass and asbestos

 

Property and Vehicle Crime

At around 9.25pm on 8th August a brick was used to smash the rear window of a vehicle parked on Beech Crescent. If you have any information or know who is responsible please call 101 quoting incident 859 08/08/17.

We have received reports of criminal damage on Middlewood Road. On two occasions wood and plastic cones have been set on fire. If you know who is responsible please call 101 quoting 415 12/08/17.
