Community News

Due to intelligence gathered from members of the public a drugs warrant was carried out in the Poynton area on Friday 23rd March. One male is currently under investigation for possession with intent to supply a Class B drug. We thank the public for providing us with the local intelligence.

Property and Vehicle Crime

Overnight 8th-9th March We have received a number of reports of thefts from vehicles parked around the Fountain Square area of Poynton. Items such as Sat Navs and loose change was taken from these vehicles. A shed was also reported to have been broken into on London Road South but nothing appears to have been taken.

Overnight 18th-19th March an attempt was made to try and gain entry to The Trading Post store, Lyme Road. Nothing was taken but damage was caused to an external door. Did you see anything? (18100074585)

On 20th March a vehicle was seen in suspicious circumstances across Poynton. The two male occupants of the vehicle (a white van) were seen walking up and down driveways and possibly stealing scrap metal. If you believe that you were a victim give us a call on 101.
