Community News

Numerous reports of youths causing anti-social behavior over the past few weekends. We have received reports of youths causing ASB on the playing fields off Parklands Way, play area off Glastonbury Drive, Tip Hill and Barnaby Park. Patrols have been carried out in the area with alcohol seized of underage drinkers. Please be aware that all parks in Poynton are no alcohol drinking zones and anyone, regardless of their age caught drinking in these areas will have their alcohol seized from them.

If you witness anti-social behavior please call 101 to report it to us or 999 if they are committing crime i.e. criminal damage. Anyone found causing ASB in these areas will be dealt with accordingly.

 

Property and Vehicle Crime

Around midday on 2nd June a steel saw was taken from the back of a van parked on London Road North. Offenders may have made off in a white Astra van. If you have any dash cam footage or witnessed the incident please call 101 quoting CC17171700

Overnight 11th-12th June an attempt was made to gain entry to a property on Heron Drive, the rear door was damaged in the process.  If you witnessed anyone acting suspiciously in the area please call 101 quoting CC17183931

Between 11am-12.30pm on 30th June, Coping Stones were stolen from a property on Towers Road. If you have any info or CCTV of the incident please call 101 quoting Crime Ref: 0717206790

Over the last month in Poynton our Roads Policing Team have arrested 5 drivers for driving under the influence of drink or drugs. 1 vehicle was also seized in the area for no insurance.

Overnight between 29th-30th June damage was caused to a vehicle parked on a driveway on Chester Road. If you have any information please call 101 quoting incident 894 30/06/17.
