Christmas Fest 2018

This year's Fest was a great success!

Festive music, street entertainment, late night shopping, mulled wine, music, choirs and of course Santa - pictured with Town Mayor Cllr Sarah-Jane Gilmore.

Poynton Poppies

The street poppies, made by Poynton Men in Sheds last year, were positioned along the main routes and gateways in Poynton and on noticeboards.

Poynton Men in Sheds Soldiers

The group made life-size Silhouette Soldiers to commemorate the end of the First World War.

Clickety Click made the poppies on the soldiers.

A Twinning Association of Poynton delegation visited Haybes to join their community commemorating the end of the First World War.

Poynton Events

The calendar has details of events as well as dates of all the Town Council meetings and Council Surgeries.

From the Higher Poynton Summerfest, Party in the Park, Poynton Show to Civic Sunday, Remembrance Sunday, the Poynton Christmas Fest and a 10K run, there's something for everyone in Poynton over the course of the year.

Cheshire East Council Countryside Rangers run varied events throughout the year, including holiday activities clubs. Several of these are are close by or within easy travelling distance. A full list of the ranger events can be found here.


Twelfth Night with TAP - 4th January 2019

You are cordially invited to join us at Ciao, Park Lane at 7.00pm on Friday 4th January 2019 for Twelfth Night Dinner!

The cost is £16 for a three course set meal, which could include any Pasta or Pizza dish as a main course. Drinks and extra dishes are in addition to this cost and should be ordered and paid for separately.

Tickets for the event are available from the Civic Hall.

Higher Poynton Summerfest photos

This popular community event has always offered something for all the family. In previous years this has included a bird of prey display, pony rides, a novelty pet dog competition, the Poynton Youth Brass Band and other live bands, a Town Crier, the Adlington Morris Men, market stalls selling local produce, gifts and plants, a tombola, ferret racing, children’s attractions, a clown, and plenty more besides.
